Favorites Guide
This guide helps customers save and manage their favorite businesses on KwenTalk.
Quick Start
The favorites feature lets you bookmark businesses you're interested in for quick access later. Tap the heart icon on any business card to save it, then view all your favorites from your profile. Note: You need to be signed in to save favorites.
For Customers
How to Save a Favorite
- Browse the marketplace to find businesses
- Tap the heart icon on any business card
- Heart fills red confirming it's saved
- Access later from Profile > Favorites
How to Remove a Favorite
- Tap the red heart on a business card, OR
- Go to Profile > Favorites and tap the heart on any saved business
- Heart turns gray confirming removal
Viewing Your Favorites
On Mobile:
- Open the app
- Go to Profile tab
- Tap Favorites
- See all saved businesses in one place
- Tap any card to visit the business page
On Web:
- Click your profile avatar
- Select Favorites
- Browse your saved businesses
Tips
- Use favorites to shortlist businesses you want to contact later
- Your favorites sync across web and mobile
- Businesses you save don't know they've been favorited
- Favorites persist even if you log out and back in
For Guest Users
Guest users must sign in to use favorites:
- Tap heart icon on any business
- See sign-in prompt appear
- Sign in or create an account
- Return to the business and tap heart again
- Business is now saved to your favorites
FAQ
Common Questions
Q: How many businesses can I favorite? A: There's no limit. Save as many as you like.
Q: Can the business owner see I favorited them? A: No, favorites are private to your account.
Q: What happens to my favorites if I delete my account? A: All favorites are permanently deleted with your account.
Q: Why can't I favorite as a guest? A: Favorites require an account to sync across devices and persist your data.
Q: Do favorites work offline? A: You can view previously loaded favorites offline, but saving/removing requires internet connection.
Troubleshooting
Issue: Heart icon not responding Solution: Check your internet connection. The action requires connectivity to save.
Issue: Favorite disappeared Solution: Pull down to refresh the favorites list. If still missing, the business may have been deleted.
Issue: Can't find Favorites in profile Solution: Make sure you're signed in. Guest users don't see the Favorites option until they sign in.

Favorites on Mobile
- Open KwenTalk app
- Tap Profile tab at bottom
- Tap Favorites in menu
- Pull down to refresh the list
- Tap any card to visit business page
Mobile Tips
- Pull-to-refresh updates your favorites list
- Unfavorite directly from the favorites screen by tapping the heart
- Empty state shows "No favorites yet" with link to browse marketplace
